The showpieces from the collection of Erzia International Art Foundation are to be presented in Konstantinovo Museum

The sculptures from the collection of Erzia International Art Foundation will be presented in the exhibition «I have never been to the Bosporus, I will think of it for you …» dedicated to the stay of Sergey Esenin in the East and the countries of Caucasus. the exhibition will be held in Konstantinovo from the 3d of October 2021 till the 3d of April 2022.

There are a lot of memories about the friendship of Sergey Esenin and Stepan Erzia. Two artists spent a lot of time together in Baku in 1924. In the exhibition, the spectators will see the sculptures from the collection of Erzia International Art Foundation: «Norwegian Woman», «Self-portrait», «Calypso», «Female Portrait», «Head of a Woman», «Chiquita».

The exposition of «I have never been to the Bosporus, I will think of it for you …» will illustrate the creation by Sergei Yesenin of landmark works during his travels in Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan. In the exhibition, there will be photos of the poet and his entourage made during the trip; autographs and manuscripts of works from the cycle “Persian Motifs”; publications in periodicals; the atmosphere of the places associated with the poet’s stay will be recreated.

A significant place in the exposition will be given to picturesque and graphic images of the landscapes of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Uzbekistan. Spectators will see exhibits that characterize the culture of the people of the East and Caucasus and that tell about the poet’s meetings with leading figures in literature and art.
