The President of Erzia International Art Foundation Mikhail Zhuravlev , Vice-President Elena Butrova and restorer Alexander Tolokin are looking for talented youth in various kinds of art.
In May 2021, the members of the foundation met Roma Dyadyunov, a young fourteen-year-old sculptor from the village of Obrochnoye (Ichalkovsky district, Republic of Mordovia). Roma has been sculpting famous people from plasticine and clay: athletes, his favorite actors, film characters and historical figures. His collection of works includes Viktor Tsoi, Bob Marley, Terminator, Mike Tyson and other figures familiar to everyone. Also the boy sculpted the bust of Stepan Erzia twice.
The Foundation appreciated the talent of this boy and invited him to become a student of the famous restorer Alexander Tolokin in his workshop in Saransk. Roma will spend the summer learning the basics of ornamentation, anatomy in sculpture and the art of copying. The staff of the foundation sent the boy high-quality materials for modeling and helped him purchase new equipment so that he could create new masterpieces.
Working with young talented people is one of the main activities of the Foundation. Erzia’s works get a new life in modern world. In the nearest future it is planned to organize a system of grants for talanted children in order to help them to realize their potential and creative ideas. Roma Dyadyunov will be its first owner.
