Elena Butrova, the vice-president of Erzia International Art Foundation, took part in the VII Kazan cultural readings, which were organised by the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan and the State Museum of Fine Arts. The conference was dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the Russian-American artist Nikolay Feshin and it took place from the 8th to 10th of December in Kazan.
Elena Butrova gave a talk about the exploration, research and preservation of Stepan Erzia’s early artistic heritage on the example of finding his frescoes in the Cathedral of Saint Sofia in Laishevo in Tatarstan.
